Dr. Xie’s Jing Tang Herbal, Inc., has developed and manufactured veterinary products that can improve the health, quality and productivity of your patients since 1999. All of our herbal products are manufactured strictly in compliance with FDA cGMP regulations and based on the pharmaceutical standards. Jing Tang brand herbal products are distributed exclusively through licensed veterinarians for the best and safest care of animals.
Over 200 Jing Tang brand formulas have been developed by Huisheng Xie, DVM., Ph.D. specifically for animals, based on a history of 3000 years of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Herbal Medicine and his over 25 years of veterinary clinical experience.
Quality Control is essential for Chinese Herbal Medicine (CHM). A third generation practitioner of CHM, Huisheng Xie, DVM, Ph.D, established Dr. Xie’s Jing-tang Herbal, the first United States-based Chinese Veterinary herbal pharmacy, in 1999. The herbal quality control is always Dr. Xie’s top priority as it is important for clinical efficacy and also animal safety.
A well trained herbalist can tell if an herb is good or not simply by judging its appearance, taste and smell. For the uninitiated, it is critical to deal with an ethical and reputable source. Dr. Xie’s Jing-tang Herbal has the quality control guarantee (sources and ingredients).
All of the herbs used in Dr. Xie’s Jing-tang Herbal formulas are grown in China, with the majority produced by farmers. Some are also grown in the wild. We use TLC (thin layer chromatography) and HPLC (high performance liquid chromatography), special procedures which insure potency and test for active constituents. Every batch of herbs is tested before, during and after processing.
All these raw material and herbal products comply with the new stringent Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). GMP certification means that the site and methods employed in the production of our herbs has been subject to a thorough quality control investigation and is certified to be in compliance.
Tests for moisture content, dissolution, heavy metals (lead, arsenic, mercury, cadmium) and microbial content (including bacteria and fungi) are performed on every batch of finished product. When the products arrive in the U.S. they are subject to an additional review by the FDA, ensuring that the products you receive meet every safety standard.
Chinese herbs can be categorized as top, middle and low grade. To ensure the herbal quality and efficacy, we have always used only top graded herbs for all our formulas. Because of this reason, we have successfully helped veterinary herbalists help their patients since 1999. We have received numerous and frequent compliments from both veterinarians and pet owners, we have never had any complaints regarding the quality of our herbal products.
